On a weekend visit to NYC, a crown fell off one of my teeth on a Friday night. This office was able to fit me in on Saturday morning. As a nervous dental patient, everyone in the office was reassuring and patient. A wonderful experience, and very affordable.

Dr. Ahn and Etoy are the best! I’ve been to a lot of dentists and have had some traumatic dental procedures in the past but this place makes me feel safe and well taken care of. The whole medical team is friendly and welcoming. The pricing is very transparent and they make sure you are aware beforehand. I had Invisalign’s here and am so happy with the results. Dr. Ahn is attentive and listens to your concerns. I only go to Etoy for my cleanings since she is so gentle and thorough. I highly recommend them for your dental care!

I was visiting NY, had a dental emergency, they were really accomodating in seeing me right away.

We just moved here from Louisiana, and needed a cleaning and establish care with a dentist. The staff, hygienist, and dentist were all extremely friendly and helpful. Their practice is very high end with a digital scan of your teeth that you can see in real time, which can show you the front, back, and every aspect of your teeth, bite, and any imperfections. It’s so cool! I discussed my concerns and pointed out things I’d like to change, and they listened and made recommendations. I’m going back for another consult to transform my smile, and I can’t wait!

Will continue to see Andrea for my cleanings. She always does a great job and makes me feel comfortable throughout my visits. Saw Dr. Mitroi for the first time and explained a past experience with a dentist that left me with less than desirable shaping of two teeth. Dr. Mitroi did a great job with the composite bonding I requested and made sure I left satisfied with the results. The staff here is friendly and professional, including the front desk associates and technicians.

I cracked my rear molar during my flight while going on vacation but was able to make an emergency appt with Dr. Peter Chen during my layover in New York City and have it checked out. Dr. Chen and the 172NYCDental team provided me with excellent care to the highest of standards. The oral surgery team was very knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and compassionate. The procedure was painless and worry free and I was able to continue on and enjoy my vacation with my family.

172 NYC DENTAL is absolutely the best! Why you ask? Because they have the best! I was so impressed with Dr. Ben Ahn because he asked me a number of questions that I had for him, before I could ask. Yes, that is what experts do! He truly impressed me and he will impress you too! Dr. Ahn is an excellent listener and answered all of my questions regarding Invisalign. If you are searching for an expert opinion here you are! I wish that I had found him sooner! Consider yourself lucky to have landed in the right place at the right time! The staff is the best at what they do as well! I love this place because they are excellent at what they do and I felt that they care! The hygienist was gentle but thorough, making sure I was comfortable the entire time. The Dentist took the time to go over my exam results and answer any questions I had, without making me feel rushed. It was one of the most pleasant and efficient dental visits I’ve had in a very long time.

By far, the best dental care I’ve experienced in NYC. Andrea (my preferred dental hygienist) is amazing and gentle during my routine cleanings. Dr. Ahn is my go-to dentist! He was very knowledgeable, informative, and kind. I appreciate the very clean office space, efficient service (no long wait), and overall professionalism of the staff.

Sharing this review on the eve of Thanksgiving because that is how grateful I am for Dr. Ahn and his team, Maricar and Sharmin, for their dedication and devotion to all their patients (have referred two colleagues who are currently receiving Invisalign treatment from Dr. Ahn).

And also must not forget Alicia, at the front desk, who has been hugely helpful with my appointments and insurance claims.

My Invisalign journey started and lasted for nearly two years, due to my stubborn crossbite, in which I had, prior to seeing Dr. Ahn, been medically advised to undergo jaw correction surgery.

All thanks to Dr. Ahn, not only was I able to avoid such an instrusive procedure but now been blessed with newfound confidence in my smile. Eternally grateful to Team Ahn! 

5 star experience. I had a broken tooth emergency. They let me come in within the hour. My wait was shorter than most dental visit. My dentist was kind, fun and helpful. He explained everything and fixed my tooth quickly. It looks amazing. I am so thankful.

“Dr. Ben Ifraimov does great work. I needed veneers on my front teeth. He said I could get 8 on the top, so they all match or just do the 4 fronts. He recommended just getting the 4 in the front done. So he recommended the cheaper option. Surprisingly! He did the work in a couple visits and it came out great! Very Happy! He has before and after shots to prove his work also.”

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Nikitayev. I usually dread the dentist, and wouldn’t go to any other dentist than the one I have been going to since high school but Covid19 times I really couldn’t travel. One of my fillings had come out, I waited 7 months until the spot where the filling fell out start to ache. Dr. Nikitayev was professional, gentile, and caring. He didn’t over-assess and provided possible options without imposing them. He explained every step of the process and I didn’t feel a thing (even without anesthesia). I highly recommend Dr. Nikitayev.

Had to get an infected wisdom tooth extracted and some minor gum surgery. I was nervous but did some research and Dr. Jin Wang popped up on several sites with 5 star ratings. All I can say is if I could give him 10 stars I would. The procedure went smoothly. I didn’t even know he had already extracted my wisdom tooth and completed the gum surgery. Dr. Wang explained each step, was caring and has a wonderful and professional demeanor. To sum it up, Outstanding !

I have a fear of going to the dentist and had not been in several years. I immediately felt at ease upon entering this business and was treated with respect and great care. The hygienist was friendly and kept checking on me to make sure I was okay, and the dentist himself took the time to get to know me, address any fears and concerns, as well as make plans for the future. I left having three numbers to contact the dentist and my hygienist if necessary and have decided to make this place my dental home. He is very professional, efficient, conservative in his treatments, and always listens to and time for his patients. “As I walked into Dr. Wang for the initial surgical part of two implants I felt relaxed and enjoyed the environment in his room.
Two teeth had to be removed and thereafter the necessary procedure to follow. At no time did I feel uncomfortable and the process was conducted without me feeling any pain. No need for any pain killers after the surgery as well.
Having had similar procedures prior in other places, this was by far the most professional and efficient.

“If anyone is qualified to review Dr. Wang, it would be me. I have been under the care of Dr. Wang and his team for several years now. I suffer from severe periodontal disease and every step of all my treatments has been met with the utmost care, skill, patience, and professionalism. I have had fourteen (yes fourteen! ) teeth extractions, bone grafting, and the beginning stages of implants performed by Dr. Wang . The emotional and psychological impact of losing so many teeth as a woman in my late 30’s was discouraging, but under the guidance of Dr. Wang I never left questioning our treatment plan and ultimate goal. The pain and swelling following any of these procedures were managed by nothing more than OTC ibuprofen and an ice pack. I understand that each patient heals differently and has varying levels of pain tolerance, but I do not doubt for a moment that a huge reason and, a lot of credit has to be given to Dr. Wang’s knowledge and technical skill set. PS there also isn’t a kinder, more patient, more organized treatment coordinator than Zorica. This periodontal team is bar none, one of the best you’ll encounter.”

“WOW. This was an amazing experience, if you can say that about the dentist, haha. As I’ve gotten older my gums have receded and I have extreme sensitivity that makes me want to climb out of the chair during cleanings, and that’s from someone with a high pain tolerance. This, however, was the most gentle dental experience I’ve had to date. They’re also very good at spotting issues and setting up a plan to manage them. No pain, relaxing, attentive staff, no waiting, and friendly top notch hygienists, dentists and technicians. Also, my teeth are so clean I kind of can’t believe it :)✨”
